Sales Representative

Key Responsibilities

  • Build business by identifying prospects, selling and maintaining long term relationships with new and existing clients.

  • Optimize sales and profits through implementation of marketing plans and campaigns

  • Manage sales and expense budgets

  • Achieve sales targets, net margins and budgeted EBIT

  • Proactively present business opportunities and develop the brand profile 

  • Identifies new business opportunities by prospects and evaluates their position in the industry; researches and analyses sales options; promotes the brand and stablishes new relationships 

  • Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market needs and activities, and competitors.

  • Providing “on farm” agronomic support to new and existing clients

Personal attributes 

Being highly self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build strong relationships and a result focused outlook is essential. Good computer and planning skills with a willingness to learn and adapt to new industry best practices and technology.

Sound knowledge of sales and marketing techniques, and the business acumen to analyse and make the most of market opportunities will be highly regarded.

Education and Experience

  • University Degree in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Soil Science (or related subjects)

  • Specifics courses in marketing and sales, high density, productions crops – olive and fruit growing, viticulture, young plants production would be an advantage

  • Previous experience in a sales position and/or client technical support in agribusiness industry
