VSGP - School Garden Specialist Anonymous…

Think therapy, in a room full of like-minded people, who get your frustrations and are as equally as passionate about all thing’s gardens! - CANCELLED DUE TO LOW NUMBERS

 

This short gathering will be focused on curriculum development central to school gardens. It will equip you and your school with the tools to integrate the school garden into all year levels and subject areas.

 

  

We will delve into:

  • What your school is currently doing within specialty areas and year levels and how some of these could be enhanced by utilising your school garden.
  • The key curriculum strand of Sustainability and how it can be central to your garden.
  • Knowledge & resource sharing from other garden specialists.

And the best part?  You’ll be able to network with a bunch of amazing humans who work in the same space as you.

Teachers, parents, grounds staff, admin, school leadership are welcome to attend.

Some light afternoon tea will be provided.  For those interested, there will be an opportunity to continue networking after the workshop at local establishment. 

The Host School - North Melbourne Primary School 

North Melbourne Primary School was amongst the first few schools involved in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program and is often used as an example for the program. 

Students of all year levels are involved in the program and they have kitchen gardens with herbs, vegetables and fruit at both campuses which are open to children throughout playtimes.

Cost:  $40 includes light afternoon tea.
